Awarded a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2016, 31-year-old Russian-born Alina Ibragimova has received numerous accolades, including the Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artist Award in 2010 at age 25. Regarded as one of the most accomplished violinists of the younger generation, on her current Australian tour she will play Bartoks breathtaking Violin Concerto No.2 with the best and biggest of Australian Symphony Orchestras. Alina says that for a musician every performance is different even though it is played strictly by the same score. She is really thrilled by this work and each time finds new depths , new colours and a new message from the composer.
