A series of short podcasts-explainers about the recent changes in the Australian migration requirements. A Migration agent Natalia Dyachenko speaks about latest amendments and future variations for 457 Temporary Work (Skilled) visa.

Main points discussed:

1) Temporary Work (Skilled) 457 visas are not abolished - but the subclass will be renamed in March 2018 and more changes to come in July and December this year.

2) 200 occupations were completely removed from the list of eligible skilled occupations.

3) Subclass 186 visa (Employer Nomination) is impacted the most: Instead of Skilled Occupation List (SOL) there is now a Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). The nominees with occupations from Schedule 2 can only apply for temporary visas.

4) Regional Sponsored Migration scheme has not been changed.

Full Combined list of eligible skilled occupations is published here.
