The baking competition is a part of year-long celebrations to mark 150 years of built environment education at the university in 2019.
The competition was opened to aspiring practitioners, professionals and general public with a category for University of Melbourne students.
Mirjana Kurbalija is an architect by profession but she also has an enormous talent for a creative baking and she has decided to enter the competition. So.... she is striking down two flies in one swing.
Registrations had closed on 22 July.
The cakes will be displayed at the university’s open day on 18 August and will be judged by a panel of “leading names in the food, architecture and design industries.”
