Coming from Europe, one of Jasminka's first impressions of Australia was the architecture. She found Australian houses very small, almost like the ones we see in the far west movies.

Another suprise for Jasminka was the way Australians a host a dinner or lunch party: a barbecue and a salad, whereas the Serbian tradition involves spending two or three days cooking.

"When I arrived in Australia I made up in my mind that this is now my country and I want to make the most out of it and I didn't have that split in my heart. I wanted to focus my energy in building a beautiful life here."
