Serban star player Milos Ninkovic led Sydney FC to another triumph, defeating Melbourne Victory 2-1 on Australia Day. The Sky Blues unbeaten run is now extended to 17 matches and they are determined to become the best team in A-League history. Sydney FC is five wins away from beating Western Sydney Wanderers record in 2012/13 season, when they captured 57 points, the most ever in a championship with 27 matchdays.
Graham Arnold's unstoppable team is also keen on becoming the first team ever who finished a season without defeat. They are only 10 games far to make the dream come true.
"The most points won by one team is 57, since the A-league has been played like a 10 team competition. We want to beat that and if we keep playing our football like we are doing so far this season - nobody can stop us," Milos Ninkovic said for the SBS Serbian.
The Serbian playmaker is in charge of a key role for Sydney FC this season. After creating another goal pass for Filip Holosko, who scored an equaliser against Victory, Ninkovic took his assist tally to nine. He also scored seven A-League goals in 2016/2017.
