During her visit to the newly opened St Sava College in Sydney's south-west, Ms Berelijkilian said she hopes the tennis great will win the Grand Slam.
The NSW Premier officially opened the first Serbian community school in Australia last week and posed with Bishop Siluan and other members of the College's Board of Directors in front of the shirt Djokovic wore when he won the Australian Open in 2019.
"Go Novak on behalf of St Sava College here in Sydney. We are all hoping you will win the Australian Open and we are grateful that you are here," Ms Berejiklian said in her message to the tennis champion.
Novak Djokovic has won the Australian Open a record eight times in his career and is once again among the favourites to win the tournament this year.
Ms Berejiklian was among the numerous Federal Parliament and NSW Parliament members, including Dr Mike Freelander, Craig Kelly, Anne Stanley, Anoulack Chanthivong, Geoff Lee, and Gabrielle Upton who attended the event.
The Premier praised the Serbian Community's efforts to "make a dream come true" and open the first accredited educational institution in the country.
Mayor of Hornsby Shire Hon Phillip Ruddock and the President of the Association of Independent Schools of New South Wales Geoff Newcombe also addressed attendees at the ceremony.
Representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Australia have offered Ms Berejiklian to pick a charity organisation of her choice to which they will donate proceeds from the auction of Novak Djokovic's 2019 Australian Open grand final shoes.
