Gastronomy of Serbia - "Belmuž"

Belmuž is a normal plate of singular taste, done of elementary ingredients, still gladly prepared and consumed in eastern Serbia. Although we will usually need immature cheese, corn flour and salt to ready this culinary specialty, belmuž can't be done by usually anyone, but Mr Zoran Mihajlovic has a secret-winning recipe.


Belmuž has been a each days plate of Balkans shepherds for decades and was especially prepared in a beside areas of Knjaževac, Svrljig, Kalne, Sokobanja, Zaječar and Niš.

 

Basic Belmuz recipe:

Salt a emptied pile of cheese and put it in a cauldron over a glow and constantly stir until it melts down into „foam. Then get a cauldron off a glow and put it subsequent to a abode on a exhilarated stones. Add corn flour to a melted cheese and continue to stir with „curak(wooden spoon) until it is good baked and butterfat is released. The plate is best served hot.
