Authorities say they have foiled an alleged terrorist conspiracy to bring down an aeroplane using an improvised explosive device. Four men are in custody after New South Wales and Australian Federal Police officers raided properties around Sydney. The raids were conducted in the suburbs of Surry Hills, Lakemba, Wiley Park and Punchbowl on Saturday. The men are yet to be charged.
