From June 1st the amendments to the Criminal Code in Serbia will be enforced. The new law will allowe sharper and more effective punishment of all forms of violence. Despite the unified political and public support to curb the violence and to provide greater legal and physical security of citizens, there is a sharp controversy over the introduction of new offenses relating to "persecution" and "sexual harassment".
