Centre for Girls in Southern Serbian City of Nis was founded in 1998,starting first as a SOS hotline for women and children victims of violence. The aim was to improve the position of young women in society through their education and emancipation.


In the past 19 years the Center has implemented huge and important projects through the workshops, lectures, psychological support, feminist-activist theatre, festival.

"The three main priorities for the organisation are a support for girls who survived violence, prevention of trafficking in girls, women's health and art", said and executive coordinator Ms Tatjana Nikolic for SBS Serbian.
