Пошто постоји више од 300 језика који се говоре у Аустралији, национално такмичење "SBS National Languages Competition" има за циљ да инспирише младе Аустралијанце да истражују и пригрле оно што значи бити Аустралијанац у целокупној нашој разноликости и да дају допринос континуираном развоју и учењу језика.
Тема националног такмичења за 2016 (2016 SBS National Languages Competition) је "Шта за вас значи учење језика?"
Студенти ЦЛА-е Community Languages Australia од четири до седам година старости охрабрују се да нацртају нешто што би илустровало значај учења језика за њих, док се старији студенти позивају да напишу нешто на ту тему. How to enter
Entry is open to Australian residents who are students at a Community Languages Australia (CLA) accredited school only. Ask your CLA school or download an entry form and submit to your teacher from 20 June – 29 July.

WHAT DOES LEARNING A LANGUAGE MEAN TO YOU?
Three categories for entry
Senior (ages 13-18) – Write a maximum of 300 words in a language other than English to describe what learning this language means to you.

Secondary Primary (ages 8-12) – Write a maximum of 30 words in a language other than English to describe what learning this language means to you.
