Today (13/02) marks 10 years since former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's National Apology to Indigenous Australians.
In 2008, Mr Rudd apologised for the "profound grief, suffering and loss" caused by past government policies, especially the removal of children from their families.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has used the anniversary to announce a parliamentary committee will investigate recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the constitution.
Mr Rudd says he's confident the country can unite and end the health and social disadvantages experienced in Indigenous communities.
