Dozens of staff at the Australian Bureau of Statistics do not believe the agency will meet the deadline for the same-sex marriage postal vote, according to a union survey.
The Community and Public Sector Union surveyed 152 of its members who work at the ABS.
Most of those surveyed said the ABS was not the right agency to conduct the poll, and said they feared it would distract from their other work.
The union's Deputy Secretary Melissa Donnelly says while the survey sample was relatively small, concerns over the postal vote are shared by many at the bureau.
