A new study says coalition and independent voters have different priorities to that of their Labor and Greens counterparts.

The research and advocacy group, the Australian Institute for Progress says climate change, education, refugees and health are key issue for Green and Labor voters.

Meanwhile, a strong economy, border protection and combating terrorism were found to be priorities for coalition and independent voters.
