IS fighter Neil Prakash says he is sorry for "all the trouble" he has caused in the world, during a court appearance in Turkey.

The Melbourne-born 26 year-old appeared by video-link in the Kilis Court in Turkey last night (28/09), close to where he was arrested trying to sneak across the border from Syria last October.

The judge denied him bail and adjourned the case to December 26.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton says it is too early to say if Neil Prakash will come before an Australian court.

Speaking from London, he says the Australian government is working constantly to ensure Australian foreign fighters are prosecuted.
