Tasmanians go to the polls on Saturday with the Liberals seeking a second term in power, while Labor is hoping its gamble on a hard line stance on poker machines pays off at the ballot box.
It may be the smallest state election in Australia, but there are plenty of big issues and even larger personalities to watch in Tasmania this weekend.
Polling shows a narrow win for the Liberals as the most likely result of Saturday's election.
But Tasmanian Labor leader Rebecca White has told the ABC she's confident her party can win.
The future of poker machines has been very much at the centre of the Tasmanian campaign, with Labor promising to ban them from all pubs and clubs if it wins office.
But Liberal leader and Premier Will Hodgman has already stated removing poker machines from pubs and clubs is not his priority.
Instead, Mr Hodgman has revealed to the ABC the Liberal Government is considering a partial unwinding of gun control laws in the state.
