Former Attorney-General George Brandis' replacement in the Senate is expected to be sworn in today (thu).
35-year-old barrister Amanda Stoker has been approved by the Queensland parliament to take Mr Brandis' place as a senator for that state.
Mr Brandis vacated his senate seat to become Australia's new High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
