Several new Sri Lanka Freedom Party electoral organisers were appointed yesterday (12/10) evening by President Maithripala Sirisena, informed political sources said.
Central Provincial Council member H. A.Ranasinghe has been appointed as the new SLFP organizer for the Nawalapitiya electorate in place of former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage MP.
Meanwhile, former parliamentarian Sumithra Abeydheera has been appointed as Sri Lanka Freedom Party organiser for the Matugama electorate previously held by Kumara Welgama MP.
Unconfirmed sources said that former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has been proposed as the SLFP organizer for the Attanagalla electorate.
