Vice-captain of Sri Lanka National Cricket Team, Dinesh Chandimal and all rounder Thisara Perera were dropped from the squad to play Zimbabwe in the short series starting 30th of June 2017 at the Galle International Stadium.
Sri Lanka will play Zimbabwe in five one-day internationals and a one-off test.
After a successful comeback to one-day international cricket, Malinga will retain his place in the squad. However, he plead guilty for violating terms of his contract earlier today. He was involved in a row with sports minister earlier this month.
