China approves the removal of presidential term limits.

China has approved the removal of term limits for its leader in a move that will effectively allow Xi Jinping to remain president for life.

The amendment was passed by almost 3-thousand hand-picked delegates from the National People's Congress.

The Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Zhang Dejiang, says the vote was unanimous.
