England cricket team smashed the kiwis out of the T20 world cup with a 7 wicket win on Wednesday night. The first semi-final saw a brilliant knock from Jason Roy, who scored 78 runs in 44 balls, that helped England make it to the finals.

England won the toss and chose to field. They restricted New Zealand for 153/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Later on, it turned out to be Jason Roy’s show all the way as his 11 fours and 2 sixes comfortably led England to win the game and book their spot in the finals.

Twitterati hailed Jason Roy while prematurely assuming India would be playing against England in the finals. Here are some of the best tweets of the day.
