The federal Environment Minister says Australia is on track to meet its 2020 emissions target after the latest Emission Reduction Fund auction.
Minister Frydenburg declared the auction a success, despite only 133-million-dollars worth of projects being funded.
That's compared to 367-million-dollars in allocated funding in the previous auction.
The fund gives incentives for Australian farmers and land holders to create new practises to reduce carbon emissions, such as planting trees.
