The foundation stone was laid for the ‘Amaradewa Asapuwa’, the musical monastery to be constructed in memory of late Pandit W.D. Amaradewa yesterday (28/08) at Apegama, Battaramulla under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.
The Amaradewa Asapuwa will be constructed in a land of 120 perches according to a request made by Maestro Amaradewa. The estimated cost of construction is Rs 200 million will be completed by the first quarter of 2019.
