Around the country four thousand schools are set to take part in a National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence.

Kids Helpline received more than 3,500 calls from children about bullying last year.

Eighty-three per cent of those calls concerned bullying at school.

The chief executive at Kids Helpline, Tracy Adams, says adults need to act quickly to help young people when they're being bullied.
