Gotabhaya officially declared as the seventh executive president of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Election Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya declared Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa as the seventh executive president of Sri Lanka.

He secured 6,924,255 votes (52.25%) and take oaths as the 7th Executive President of Sri Lanka tomorrow (18/11) at Anuradhapura, one of the oldest kingdoms in Sri Lanka.
