Adam Bandt hopes he won't be a lonely Green in the House of Representatives after Saturday, with the minor party expecting to win more lower house seats in Saturday's federal election.
Greens leader Richard Di Natale told the party's election launch they were in with a "real chance" in a number of electorates.
"The Greens will be a real force in both houses of parliament, making sure that Adam Bandt has some company," Senator Di Natale told the Melbourne crowd on Sunday.
"If we have a bit of luck with us then we'll pick up one or two of those seats.
"If we don't, then beware the next election."
Party founder and former senator Bob Brown said the current parliamentary team had the mix of environmental and social policies just right.
If there was a hung parliament, the Greens would negotiate competently.
"Labor and the coalition are arrogant enough to say if they don't get total power they will send the electorate back to the ballot box," Dr Brown told AAP.
"The Greens have said we will accept the democratic outcome. I'm very proud of them taking that position."
The Greens Party have officially launched their federal election campaign in Melbourne.
Greens leader Senator Richard Di Natale says the party would create a strong renewable energy led economy.
The Greens say it's main policies are protecting the environment, increasing housing affordability, pushing through a parliamentary vote on same-sex marriage and closing offshore processing centres.
Mr Di Natale says he thinks there's a real chance the party could win a number of inner city electorates.
