Pauline Hanson insists she will not apologise for suggesting that autistic children are holding other kids back.
The One Nation leader says her comments have been misrepresented, and she stands by her remarks to the Senate that children with autism should be removed from mainstream classrooms.
She blamed political point-scoring for the misunderstanding, saying she's not against children with special needs, and the requirements of teachers should be considered.
She has told Sky News, she has been receiving messages of support.
