The opening game of the T20 World Cup 2016 will see hosts India takes on New Zealand in a Group 2 encounter at Nagpur. The favourites to win the T20 Cup this year, India come into this game with the dazzling T20 performances against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup 2016.
Ranked No 1 in the T20 format, the Indian team have a number of match winners in their side, and are close to unbeatable in home conditions. The warm-up games gave an indication of their batting prowess and in Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and skipper M S Dhoni they have probably the best batting line-up in the competition.

New Zealand also comes into this tournament in good form. Throughout the summer they have played well in the shorter formats of the game. The team has a number of attacking players in Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor and skipper (captain) Kane Williamson while Corey Anderson, Colin Munro and Luke Ronchi are the big hitters.
