An Islamic State propaganda group has released a poster of Argentinian footballer, Lionel Messi crying blood, in what is believed to be a threat to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The poster depicts Lionel Messi wearing a prison outfit displaying his name and a fictitious jail number.
An arabic sentence below the poster reads "you are fighting a state that does not have failure in its dictionary."
It is the latest attempt by extremists to spread fear ahead of the tournament to be held in June and July next year.
Last week, I-S published an image of a fighter carrying a rifle and a bomb in front of a football stadium with a 2018 World Cup logo.
