Muslim leaders have condemned United States president Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
They are calling on the world to respond by recognising East Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital.
The leaders have met in Turkey for an emergency summit of the world's main pan-Islamic body, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, on Mr Trump's move last week.
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan says the move means the United States has forfeited its role as a broker in Israeli-Palestinian talks.
But Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he is not impressed by the Muslim leaders' statements.
Mr Netanyahu says the reality is Jerusalem is now the capital of Israel.
