The national security has not been breached due to the recent incidents in Jaffna, Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General Boniface Perera asserts.
He expressed this view while speaking at a press conference held at the Security Forces Headquarters in Wanni. The Major General pointed out the organization that calls itself ‘Aava’ in Jaffna is just a ‘bandit’ group, thus its activities would not harm the national security. “The people in the North live in harmony and brotherhood,” Perera added.
The Major General has also made it clear that there are no security concerns over the recent incidents in Jaffna and clarified that the North has no fears of security issues.
