Pakistan beat Australia by six wickets in the second ODI in Melbourne to level the five-match series 1-1. Pakistan scored 221/4 in 47.4 overs, chasing the small total Australia set for them at the MCG on yesterday (15/01). Mohammad Hafeez top-scored for Pakistan with 72, while Shoaib Malik 42 not out.

Earlier, Australia cricket team were bowled out for 220. Mohammad Amir took three wickets for Pakistan while Junaid Khan and Imad Wasim took two each as the visitors never let the Aussie batsmen settle down in the match. Skipper Steve Smith top-scored for Australia with 60 runs.

In MCG, Pakistan won a cricket match against Australia after 31 years and also not since January 2005 had Pakistan beaten Australia in Australia, in any format.
