Pauline Hanson has described her party as "a real threat" for the upcoming West Australian election.

Pauline Hanson has described her party as "a real threat" ahead of the announcement of her candidates for the upcoming West Australian election.

One Nation will contest 45 of the state's 59 seats in the Lower House, as well as run candidates in each Upper House region.

Speaking on the steps of state parliament, Ms Hanson says she's offering another option to the residents of Western Australia.

"I'm giving the people of this state an alternative to what they've had. Are they truly happy with Colin Barnett and the Liberal party, are they truly happy with the Labor party, and the way this state is going? do they want more of the same, because I can't see any vision or leadership." Ms Hanson said.
