The electoral commission has made more than half a million changes to the voter roll ahead of the close of enrolments for the same-sex marriage postal survey.
Today (24/08) is the deadline for people to enroll to vote in the postal survey on same-sex marriage.
Voters have until midnight to register on the Australian Electoral Commission's website.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics will being distributing survey papers from mid-September - pending a High Court challenge.
As of Wednesday, the Electoral Commission had added more than fifty-four thousand names to the roll since August the 8th.
