Senators will today (19/10) call on the government to provide documents and detailed modelling on the national energy guarantee, as arguments continue over the promised savings.
The government says its policy will save households up to 115 dollars per year between 2020 and 2030.
While defending the projected price cuts, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is also pointing to his abolition of subsidies for wind and solar generators from 2020 as a factor that will drive down prices.
