A total fire ban has been declared for the whole of South Australia for Tuesday, as the state prepares for a day of potentially catastrophic fire conditions on Wednesday.
The temperature will reach 30C on Tuesday, but a forecast of 42C, along with windy and dry conditions will result in fire danger on Wednesday.

The total fire ban comes as fires continue to burn around the country.
In the mean time, Sydney siders have experienced smoky conditions this morning as New South Wales authorities brace themselves for tough weather conditions.
More than one thousand firefighters are still on the ground battling more than 50 blazes and temperatures will likely rise again this week.
Tuesday and Thursday are forecast to be tough days ahead while most of the state's east coast is experiencing high fire danger ratings.
