Sri Lanka’s horror run in ODIs continued as they suffered a nine-wicket thrashing against Pakistan during the fifth and final ODI in Sharjah.
Usman Khan was the chief destroyer as he snapped up 5/34 to bowl Sri Lanka out for 103.
In response, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq calmly went about chasing the target down as Pakistan registered a nine-wicket win to sweep the ODI series.
This is a good result for the side who were blown away 0-2 in the Test series. With this loss, Sri Lanka have suffered back-to-back 5-0 whitewashes in 2017, having earlier lost by the same scoreline to Virat Kohli’s Indian cricket team.
This was also Sri Lanka’s 12th consecutive ODI loss in 2017 and it continues their horror run.
