In the first ODI match between Australia and New Zealand held on yesterday (30/01), there was a rare scene which is important to all Sri Lankans.
Former Sri Lankan cricketer, Ruchira Palliyaguruge worked as an Umpire in the ground and former Sri Lankan cricketer, Kumar Dharmasena worked as the Third Umpire. Apart from that, former Sri Lankan cricketer, Ranjan Madugalle worked as the Match Referee of that match.
Three Sri Lankans worked in an ODI match like that is reported the first time in ODI cricket.
