SriLankan Airlines facilitated a repatriation of close to 100 Pakistanis from Sydney to Lahore via Colombo as a joint effort with Pakistan High Commission in Australia. Flight was departed on 15 June at 10 am in Australian Eastern Standard Time from Sydney to Colombo.
A passenger flight is operated by SriLankan Airlines from Sydney to Colombo after nearly 20 years since the suspension of flights to Sydney. This is the second repatriation flight operating to support our neighbouring countries. Previously a repatriation of 170 Bangladeshis were done on the 08th of May from Melbourne to Dhaka via Colombo as a joint effort with the Bangladesh High Commission & Victoria Bangladesh Community Foundation.
SriLankan Airlines will continue to support the repatriation efforts to Sri Lanka & the neighbouring countries of Indian Sub-Continent going forward as well at the request of their respective governments.
