Telcos are being urged to lift their game after a survey found their frustrated customers spend an average of 13 days trying to get a complaint resolved.

A survey of 1300 telco users for the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network has found customers have to contact their service provider 2.6 times to get an issue resolved, with some people having to wait up to two months.

The consumer group is calling on the industry and its regulator, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, to do more to ensure telcos respond faster to customer issues.
