The petitioned produced to the Court of Appeal requesting to enlarge National Freedom Front leader MP Wimal Weerawansa was ordered today to be called on the 7th this month
This petition was due to be called today but it was cancelled due to one of the judges who handles the case could not attend the Court today
The Attorney General who is the respondent of the case was issued notice today to appear before the Court of Appeal on the 7th
The petition had been filed informing that Fort Magistrate and High Court being refrained from enlarging MP Weerawansa on bail is out of law and unacceptable and the petition requests for bail.
