Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has landed in Washington DC for a crucial round of meetings with US President Donald Trump, US state governors and chief executives of some of America's largest companies.
He's being accompanied on his four-day visit by premiers and chief ministers from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, West Australia, the ACT and Northern Territory.
It's the largest and most significant Australian delegation to visit the US and comes after Mr Turnbull's infamous phone call with the president a year ago.
Speaking on Sky News ahead of his arrival, Mr Turnbull downplayed calls* for Australia to work with the US to develop joint strategies to counter what some call China's growing political interference.
