Veteran Sri Lankan musician and music producer Somapala Rathnayake passed away today (18.7.2017) at the age of 69. He is the elder brother of the famous singer Victor Rathnayake.
Somapala Rathnayake, who was born in Kadugannawa, Kandy, was the fourth in a family of eleven children.
His first music composition for the Sinhala film industry was 'Hanthane Kathawa’.
