Victorians are being warned to take care ahead of an extreme heat forecast on coming Saturday (04/01), with parts of the state set to soar over 40 Celsius degrees.
The Chief Health Officer has issued a health alert, as the Bureau of Meteorology forecasts Melbourne will reach a top of 41.
Geelong, Bendigo, Shepparton, Swan Hill, and Mildura are also expected to face temperatures over 40.
