More than 160,000 flu cases confirmed this year in Australia some even caused deaths according to the reports.

As reported by various media outlets dozens of people across Australia have died in recent months after contracting the flu, including 8 years old girl in Victoria.

 

According to the health experts both the common cold and flu can cause respiratory illnesses, and aggravate underlying medical conditions. And these things are dependent on a combination of viral, bacterial and patient factors, including how effectively the virus infects, immune response, and etc. Also according to the health experts person with the flu can have a spectrum of illness, from no symptoms at all to being potentially fatal.
