Three powerful UNP ministers have decided to resign from their posts after Sajith Premadasa announced that he would quit the presidential race in recognition of Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's victory. Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera, Sports and Foreign Employment Minister Harin Fernando and Non-Cabinet Minister for Digital Infrastructure Ajith P Perera have decided to resign from their posts.
