Zimbabwe defeated Sri Lanka by three wickets in the fifth and final ODI at Hambantota to register a historic series win by 3-2.
Chasing paltry target of 204 runs, Zimbabwe reached the target in 39th over after openers Hamilton Masakadza and Solomon Mire laid the solid foundation.
The openers added 92 runs for the first wicket to put visitors in firm position. However in middle overs Zimbabwe lost wickets at regular intervals and that made things a bit difficult for them. Wth small target to chase Zimbabwe eventually crossed the line with three wickets in hand.
