The debate over cuts to penalty rates is raging on in Canberra, with key stakeholders arguing over how quickly the changes should be introduced. Business groups want the reductions to Sunday penalty rates to come into effect as soon as possible. But some in the Coalition would prefer them to be phased in more gradually -- with one Tasmanian Liberal senator even suggesting current employees should see no reduction to their wages at all. But the commission's work is far from done -- it's now calling for submissions on how the cuts should be implemented. More details in this feature.
