Prasantha John Fernando who has Sri Lankan background is an award winning writer and a journalist. Currntly he lives in Sydney and has written Gallipoli - Remembrances of a distant shore to tribute Australian soldiers who fought in Gallipoli peninsula in the world war I. In this book he has considered about the Sri Lankan troops that had contributed to the World War I as well. John has been interviewed by SBS Sinhalese program to share his valuable information upon the ANZAC Day celebrations
