Sri Lankan athlete Gayanthika Abeyrathne won gold medal in 1500M women’s race at 2018 Asian indoor athletics championship held in Teharan, Iran. She placed 4th in 800m event and won a few medals in international sports arena in both 800M and 1500M events.
